Since you've found your way to this page, we know you are looking for a long-term solution to your anxiety.
Anxiety can present itself in many ways. It's not always a full-on panic attack type of situation, it can be a feeling of trepidation that dominates your experience, an uneasiness that influences your ability to make decisions or take on new challenges and opportunities.
An often unspoken symptom of anxiety can be passive behaviour, being a 'Yes' person, even when that Yes might be to the detriment of your happiness, hopes, or well-being.
If your experience of anxiety is resulting in panic attacks, sleep problems, or even physical symptoms, we will address those things first. You'll be pleased to hear that many of my clients notice improved sleep after just a few days of our initial consultation.
I suspect, that since you have found your way to this page, you are also an optimist underneath it all. You may be ambitious, relatively successful, and keen to commit to a new path and better outcomes for yourself and others around you.
What you can expect:
We will meet for weekly sessions.
I hope you can commit to weekly sessions for at least the first 5-6 weeks due to the nature of our work, at a time to suit you. We're looking at creating new thinking patterns and consistency is great for neural development.
There will be homework. It won't be a huge amount of work, but it will give you the best opportunity to see the results you're hoping for within the the time frame.
You will have the opportunity to contact me between sessions and you can expect some accountability check-ins.
I want you to get the results you need to move toward the life you want to live.
What most therapists won't tell you is that anxiety is a totally normal response to some of life's challenges. Sometimes it can run in the family, that doesn't mean you can't change your experience of it!
For you, our initial consultation is about getting you informed about how and why your specific symptoms are manifesting in the way that they do, and what we can do about it. We'll tailor your program to your specific needs and lifestyle as well as your hopes and drives.
Each week we'll spend some time discussing your aims and challenges, and what you might have experienced or achieved between our sessions. You'll have a tailored hypnosis session and we'll agree some outcomes, goals or 'homework' for the next session.
You'll have the option of having a quick check-in between sessions. This could be an email, a WhatsApp chat, or a quick phone conversation to keep you up to date and on track.
You will receive supporting materials including downloadable PDFs, video, and audio recordings that are relevant to your stage of your journey.
These are for you to keep and refer to whenever you need them.
Most people see significant changes within the first few weeks, and it's important for us to maintain the momentum to reinforce those changes for the longer term. We will be creating new thinking habits and patterns. You might find that you are drawn to make small changes around your lifestyle and choices, all of which takes time to reinforce and become a habit.
We don't end your sessions abruptly.
More often than not it feels like the right time to finish the regular sessions once improvements are fully felt and integrated. We will spread the sessions out to suit your individual progress and schedule.
You will have the option of continuing with a monthly session to keep you on track for when life gets very demanding, or to take the weight of the world (or the work!) off your shoulders. It really is fabulous for a full switch-off and recharge!
Ideally, we will meet for weekly sessions as agreed between us, and complete some simple self-led practices in between.
